Property Tax Information
Steele County mails real estate property tax statements every March and mobile home statements in July. Each resident receives a tax statement even if the property taxes are paid by an escrow company. The statement outlines what tax jurisdictions the address falls under on lines six (6) through twelve (12), any special assessments on line thirteen (13) and the amount due for the 1st and 2nd half installment. Tax due dates vary depending on a property’s classification, but the table below outlines the due dates for property taxes in 2024. If dates land on a weekend the following business day becomes the due date.
